Good Morning PA is a function of the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce. ALPA is joining them in this particular presentation, plus more in the future. There will also be a short presentation by KQED reporter, Kevin John Shuler, prior to Dan's interactive presentation.

The City of Palo Alto will present a new forum series on Planning for Sustainable Development - thanks largely to the leadership of Planning Director Curtis Williams. This undertaking is most timely considering the Forum @ Redwood City has been terminated.
The kickoff event is Tuesday, Nov. 10, 4-6pm in the City Council Chambers, 250 Hamilton Ave, downtown Palo Alto between Bryant and Ramona Streets.
Topic: Implementing SB 375 - What Local Governments Need to Know, featuring two ABAG speakers: Ted Droettboom and Ken Kirkey.

has walkable and bikeable neighborhoods, where people can easily;
- is served by excellent, easily accessible rail and bus service;
allows residents to access shopping and services with little or no driving;
is attractive to visionary companies like the ones that have built our prosperity;
preserves its state-of-the-art services, such as its schools and hospitals;
provides parks and attractive public spaces for all;
enables older residents to continue to live locally; and
gives children a chance of continuing to live here after they grow up.

Recommendations
We recommend that the Palo Alto City Council accept the Association of Bay Area Government's regional housing need allocation for the City of Palo Alto.
We recommend including smart growth principles and a commitment to affordable housing in the update of Palo Alto's Comprehensive Plan.
